Tributes paid to martyrs of APS Peshawar

LAHORE : A ceremony was held to pay tributes to martyrs of APS Peshawar and their families at Nishtar Park Sports Complex e-Library on Saturday.

University Lahore, Brig Waheed-ul-Zaman Director Chughtai Lab Punjab, Prof. Dr. Mazhar Rafi Head of Surgery Department Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahimyar Khan were the guests of honour on this occasion.

In the ceremony, Quaid-e-Azam gold medals, Sitara Pakistan Medals and awards were given to 80 personalities who have rendered valuable services in various fields of life including education and teaching, medicine and social service across the country from Gilgit to Gwadar.

Zeeshan Bahadur Khan Chughtai, chairman of Istehkam Pakistan Foundation, performed the duties of Nizamat. He said that his father, late Sher Bahadur Chughtai, the founder and chairman, did great social work on the platform of this foundation in 1998 and started giving medals and awards to personalities who have rendered valuable services in various fields of life. We have continued this mission of his after his death.

Addressing the ceremony, the chief guests said that recognition and honoring of personalities who have rendered valuable services across the country by the Istehkam Pakistan Foundation is a great achievement and a great mission.

This foundation seeks out the hidden, unseen personalities across the country who have rendered or are rendering great services in various fields of life and gives awards and medals to them.

We appreciate and pay tribute to the services of the Chairman Zeeshan Bahadur Chughtai and other office bearers of this foundation. In this regard, we should encourage and fully support them.
