After the Filmfare Awards, while many DeepVeer fans were ecstatic to see Ranveer Singh getting named Critics’ Best Actor, numerous people were incredibly disgruntled and dejected about their pinup Deepika Padukone not bagging the award in the Best Actress category.
Seeing her fans dismayed about her not winning, the 33-year-old Padmaavat star decided to drop in on one of her fan pages as a surprise, apologizing for disappointing them and avowing to work harder towards better achievements.
"To all my fans, I am sorry to let you down and promise to work harder than ever before. Upwards and onwards," her comment read.
Nominated alongside Alia Bhatt, the Best Actress award was swiped away by the Highway actor for her role in the Meghna Gulzar directed Raazi.
