LAHORE: Pakistan’s renowned singer Humera Arshad is once more parting ways with her husband after she filed for a khula on Wednesday.
The 43 year old singer, headed to a family court in Lahore on Wednesday to file for a khula from her husband, actor Ahmad Butt, after extracting in January the plea she had filed earlier.
Talking to media outlets outside Lahore court, the singer had revealed: “For the sake of my son, I had reconciled with my husband despite all our differences.”
Elaborating on the issues that led her to this point she further stated: “But I cannot live with him anymore as I am subjected to violence and am fed up of daily fights.”
The couple had been at odds with each other since a while now, with public accusations of fraud, abuse and numerous other things surfacing the media from time to time.
The duo had tied the knot back in 2004 and in May of 2015, the singer had officially announced her decision of separation from her husband. However, later in November 2016, the pair had decided to settle their feuds to start their lives together again.
The couple made headlines once again in 2017 when Arshad had placed accusations against her husband for physically abusing her and her family.
After the allegations the two had reconciled once again in January this year, when Arshad pulling out the divorce plea she had filed earlier.
The signer has on numerous occasions accused her husband of hurling ample strain and humiliation her way by insulting her in front of neighbors, physically abusing in public, and pulling her hair.
