RAWALPINDI: Police on Wednesday said they are investigating rape allegations against younger brother of singer Nazia Iqbal after taking him into custody, Geo.tv reported.
Iftikhar was arrested after his sister lodged a complaint at Rawat Police Station in Rawalpindi , accusing him of raping her two minor daughters aged 12 and 8.
Nazia Iqbal said she caught Iftikhar raping one of her daughters on Tuesday.
The Station House Officer said medical examination of the victims have been carried out and media reports sent to Punjab Forensic Lab as part of investigation.
Nazia Iqbal has a huge fan following not only in Pakistan, but also in Afghanistan and the Gulf.
She sings in various languages including Urdu, Punjabi, Persian and Pashto .
