After pictures of Mahira Khan smoking had caused a colossal public outrage and had given birth to a national controversy, another actor Saba Qamar has taken it upon herself to raise a serious point.
The ‘Baaghi’ actor had taken to social media forum Instagram to make a strong statement, in light of the recent controversies surrounding Mahira Khan.
Her retro themed post, showed her flaunting a cigarette with the caption reading: “Mard peeyein toh wah, hum peeyein toh haaaa. Tum khao toh chips, hum khaain toh aaloo.”
In regard to the society’s misogynistic mindset prevalent, where smoking is still considered a taboo for women, Saba also added: “Smoking is injurious to all, not only to women.”
After a fan’s comment on the 34-year-old actor’s post, stating she does not look good while smoking, Saba replied that the cigarette was a mere prop for the shoot and that she does not actually smoke.
