LAHORE: Pakistani actress Veena Malik has agreed to reconcile with her husband Asad Khattak and settle the differences after the latter apologised over his behavior.
Veena Malik accepted Asad’s apologise during an interview with a private TV channel.
Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil played pivotal role in resolving the matter.
Veena had obtained Khula, dissolution of marriage, from Asad Khattak through court.
The counsel of Veena Malik, Ali Ahmed had confirmed the separation between Veena and Asad, saying that the family court issued the decree on January 31, 2017 after the actress filed for Khula.
The court took decree in favour of Veena as Asad failed to proceed the case, he said.
Veena and Asad got married on December 25, 2013 and they have two children.
Sources had said Veena filed for Khula after rift with Asad and his family over her return to showbiz.
Earlier, Malala and her father had also contacted the couple in an attempt to convince the couple to reconcile, after the actress obtained ‘khula’ last week.
