KARACHI: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan recently parodies her mother's shocked reaction when she get to know her daughter had been cast alongside the 'King of Bollywood' Shah Rukh Khan, and it was hilarious.

Bagging the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in your debut Bollywood flick is no joke; it's actually your direct ticket to superstardom in a jiffy. Actresses Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma can attest to the fact as both of them debuted in their first Bollywood film with Shah Rukh Khan and are now leading Indian actresses.

Mahira Khan hilariously parodied her mother's reaction to her bagging the lead female role in Raees--her upcoming movie with Shah Rukh which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and is directed by Rahul Dholakia.

Apparently, Mahira Khan's mother could not believe that her daughter had been cast with Shah Rukh Khan and broke down crying. It took a few minutes for the actress to get her mother to stop crying and convince her that she had indeed been cast in Raees.

The movie is set to release in India on January 26, 2017. Mahira Khan was unable to take part in the film's promotions in India owing to the recent India-Pakistan tensions. Extremist Hindu elements in India threatened her and Fawad Khan with dire consequences to leave the country.
