Adnan Sami, a singer and composer, was given taste of his own medicine by Pakistanis when he expressed malice towards Pakistan on Twitter in an effort to prove his loyalty to India, where superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Amir Khan have struggled to prove their loyalty despite ruling the film Industry for decades.

Not only did Adnan Sami congratulate Indian prime minister Narendra Modi for India’s so-called surgical strikes against Pakistan, he also tried to imply on Twitter that his former country is harboring terrorists.

“Big Congratulations to @PMOIndia & our brave Armed forces for a brilliant, successful & mature strategic strike against#terrorism ! #Salute,” he Tweeted.

And when the Pakistanis criticized him for supporting the Indian aggression at the Line of Control, the singer said “Pakistanis r outraged by my earlier tweet. Their outburst clearly means they see Terrorist & Pakistan as the same!”.

The singer seemed to forget an open letter by an Indian journalist earlier this month, who asked Pakistani artists to leave India, calling on producers to ban the actors from across the border.

Though the letter was addressed to Fawad Khan, it clearly mentioned name of Adnan Sami among other Pakistani exports to Bollywood despite the fact that Adnan Sami has become Indian after giving up Pakistani citizenship.

Adnan Sami Khan, who chose to obtain Indian citizenship, was no exception when Soumyadipta Banerjee, an Indian journalist took a jingoistic stance in the aftermath of an alleged militant attack that killed over dozen soldiers in Occupied Kashmir and asked Pakistani male and female artists to go back to Pakistan.

The journalist wrote an open letter to Fawad Khan, in which he said he didn’t mean to single him out but he addressed the letter to him because he was the most famous bollywood import.

“By addressing you, I want to talk to every Pakistani import to Bollywood. This letter could have well been addressed to Adnan Sami, Raahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mahira Khan… the list is endless and keeps increasing every year,” he said.
