Pakistan to play first ever Day Night test match against Windies
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board Thursday announced the schedule of the West Indies Tour to Pakistan 2016.
The Series would be played at neutral venue in UAE, read the PCB press statement.
The Series comprises of 3 T20 Internationals, 3 One Day Internationals and 3 Test Matches commencing from September 23rd with the T20 Series.
PCB will host its first ever Day Night test match from October 13-17 in a match to be played with the Pink Ball under lights at the Dubai Cricket Stadium.
The West Indies will also play a 3 day first class game under lights in Sharjah against the PCB Patrons XI as part of the preparation for the Day Night Test Match.
The West Indies – Pakistan Series features the start of an exciting new partnership between the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Pakistan Cricket Board with a number of new initiatives being undertaken by the ADSC in promoting the game in Abu Dhabi.
The new partnership will seek to promote Pakistan’s long standing relationship with the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club which has been hosting PCB matches since 2006.
