Hilary Duff creates ‘CATastrophe’ for upcoming ‘The Cat in the Hat’ adaptation

Hilary Duff has stepped into the Dr. Seuss universe with CATastrophe, which is a brand-new track written for The Cat in the Hat.
The song, created with Hilary's husband Matthew Koma, Madison Love and Brian Phillips, is meant to be the emotional core of the film.
Former Lizzie McGuire star also served up a colourful, surreal music video directed, which places her inside a series of oversized, Seussian-style worlds.
Hilary jumped at the opportunity to be part of project as Dr. Seuss was a huge part of her childhood.
She said in a statement: “Dr. Seuss was on repeat in our house for years, so when this came around, I didn't have to think about it.”
“CATastrophe is about that feeling when your whole world gets picked up and moved somewhere else and nobody asks you first. I wanted it to be honest about those feelings, and still be something you'd turn all the way up in the car,” Hilary added.
The track will appear on The Cat in the Hat (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), out October 30. The album includes a score by Lorne Balfe and a new theme song written by Tim Minchin and performed by FITZ and Tim Minchin featuring Bill Hader.
The new animation based on the children's classic arrives in cinemas and IMAX on November 6.
This surprise release comes hot on the heels of Hilary Duff expanding her Lucky Me world tour.
After overwhelming demand, she has added 32 new dates, turning the run into one of her biggest tours yet.
The European leg begins May 7 in Madrid and continues through Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Stockholm, San Juan, São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Santiago.
