King Charles major plan to reunite Prince William, Harry sparks reactions
Prince William has “washed his hands of” Harry
Royal experts have shared their thoughts on King Charles major plan to reunite his warring sons Prince William and Harry.
According to report by the Daily Mail, per Page Six, King Charles wants to “heal the rift” between Prince William and Harry with a service to honor their late mother, Princess Diana.
The 30th anniversary of Princess Diana is next August — and the King has “raised no objection” to a Thanksgiving service for his ex-wife, per the report.
Commenting on the report, royal expert Tom Sykes tells Page Six that a reunion between William and Harry is “just not gonna happen.”
Another royal expert Kinsey Schofield said last month that William has “washed his hands of” Harry.
“He has his own family to protect and his responsibilities as Prince of Wales,” she explained. “The Sussexes’ presence will always generate noise and distraction.”
Earlier, Prince Harry had also expressed his desire to reconcile with his family.
In a May 2025 BBC interview, Harry had said, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious.”
The Duke had added that he did “not know how much longer [his] father” would be around.
Now, the fresh claims have come nearly two months after Prince Harry moved back to Britain with his family –wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet.
