Pete Davidson reveals how his daughter helped him to stay sober
Pete Davidson shares his daughter with ex Elsie Hewitt
Pete Davidson has revealed how his daughter helped him to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
During a candid conversation with Variety, the 32-year-old comedian shared that it's "easy" to stay sober since becoming a father to 9-month-old daughter Scottie.
“I don’t f--k with drugs anymore. It’s been two or three years from doing really hard stuff and about a year or more from weed. Weirdly, the hardest thing to stop was weed,” he said.
“And now it’s easy because I have a kid. Anytime there’s ever a thought, I look at my phone background and go, ‘Oh yeah, no,’ added Pete.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Saturday Night Live alum welcomed his daughter with ex-Elsie Hewitt in December 2025.
Recently, in an interview with E!, Pete revealed that fatherhood has changed his life.
My priorities have shifted in just that becoming a dad is great for so many reasons, but it just made me realise the stuff that I cared about so much don't actually matter,” he said.
“Now the priority is if I don't get that whatever job or whatever, who cares? I get to be home with Scottie. That's awesome,” the actor added.
