Are Lindsay Clancy supporters also Sydney Sweeney haters?

A psychotherapist claimed that Lindsay Clancy also opposes Sydney Sweeney's success.

Expectedly, a provocative claim that would make some ponder it, while others are furious.

However, psychotherapist and author Joe Nucci, who appeared on Free Press, named these contrasting reactions a "collectivist victim mindset."

He argued some women view figures through the lens of their environment and circumstances.

Others, meanwhile, double down on personal responsibility for individuals' actions.

Nucci, to drive his point home, tapped into what he described as a "viral meme" saying, "You know if a flower isn't thriving do."

He asked, "You blame the flower, or do you blame the soil, the lack of sunlight, like if you move that seedling to somewhere else maybe it'll thrive, and that's a way of communicating."

But soon after, Nucci clarified that the analogy has its limits because people have free will to make choices, unlike a flower.

Explaining all of this, the psychiatrist turned back to the key theme, anger against Sweeney and sympathy for Clancy.

He noted that these opposed positions may stem from a view that society, rather than individuals, should be blamed for shocking results.

Nucci's comments come as Clancy's case and how much she is culpable have reportedly sharply divided American society.
