Waiting for GTA 6 on PC? Take-Two's CEO just said something that sounds like good news, but read it twice and it actually confirms nothing new at all.

When asked about whether the PS5 Pro shortages were affecting the plans for the PC platform at the shareholders meeting of the company, CEO of Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, dodged the issue and gave a generic reply by saying that the company releases its games on any platform "where there is a significant audience", and the PC platform has been gaining significance for the company over time. Importantly, at no point in his reply did he mention Grand Theft Auto.

GTA 6 will be available only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S starting November 19. It will not be available on PC initially, nor does Rockstar Games appear to have any plans regarding making a PC version available at all, not even a future version.

The only hint provided by the head of Take Two Interactive, Strikinger Zelnick, was not quite as clear as fans would have liked.

Grand Theft Auto V was released for PC 18 months after its initial release for the consoles way back in 2013. Going by the same trend, one can expect a PC release of GTA 6 sometime during 2027 or 2028, which also coincides with the release window expected for the game's online mode.

This was also confirmed at the shareholders' meet, where GTA 6 will come out only in single-player mode, with no online component whatsoever.
