Mark Consuelos promises to change Kelly Ripa's diapers as they age

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have opened up about growing old together and joked about how their marriage could look like as an older couple.

The discussion undolded during the recent episode of Live! With Kelly and Mark, when the cohosts discussed Japan’s high number of people aged 100 and older.

Mark revealed that “88 percent of those 100-year-old people are women” before joking that he would take care of Kelly and even change her diapers.

He then asked Kelly, “Would you like to live to 100?”

“It depends. I mean, here's the thing. I don't want to live to 100 if my quality of life isn't good. I want to have the longest life, but the highest quality of life. For as long as possible,” Kelly explained.

“Like, if I had to change your diapers, would you like to be living to 100?” Mark inquired

“No, Stop! Because...I don't...Here's the thing. You're not cut out for that, and neither am I,” Kelly replied.

“I would change your diaper,” Mark reassured her.

“No, no, no, no. You wouldn't. You couldn't. You'd be irritated,” Kelly said.

Mark then joked, “Front to back? Front to back.”

“You wouldn't be. You wouldn't be...” Kelly responded.

The show producer Michael Gelman intrupted and called Mark a caregiver.

“I am a caregiver. You see me with Lena?” Mark said, referring to his dog.

Kelly marked the end of the discussion, saying, “Yeah, no, you're great with Lena. I think that's where it ends. I actually think that's where it ends. It's where it begins and ends."

For those unaware, Kelly and Mark tied the knot in 1996 one year after meeting on All My Children set.
