New York Knicks add James Wiseman and Bruce Brown ahead of NBA training camp

The NBA champion New York Knicks have added James Wiseman, Bruce Brown and Ochai Agbaji to their roster ahead of training camp.

The Knicks announced on Wednesday that all three players had signed training camp contracts as the team prepares to defend its 2026 NBA title.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Brown, Wiseman and Agbaji will join John Konchar and Drew Eubanks in competing for New York’s final two open roster spots.

However, ESPN’s Bobby Marks reported that the Knicks can only retain one of the players unless they make a trade.

The winner of the final spot could receive a veteran minimum contract worth $2.4 million.

Brown brings championship experience after winning the 2023 NBA title with the Denver Nuggets.

The 30-year-old played all 82 games last season, averaging 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and one steal.

Wiseman most recently played for the Indiana Pacers. He has appeared in just five games across the past two seasons.

The Knicks have retained much of the roster that won last season’s championship, including Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Josh Hart.
