Prince George's father, Prince William, went to Eton College, and so did his paternal uncle, Prince Harry.

But that does not necessarily mean the young prince went to the renowned boarding school, according to HELLO!’s royal editor Emily Nash.

She brought in George's mom, Kate Middleton, into the discussion, sharing that George's parents will never opt for Eton for their son if they do not believe that he could endure tough academics.

"I think what William and Catherine have done is they've chosen the school that is right for him, and they'll choose the school that's right for each individual child," she said on A Right Royal Podcast.

"This is not like a one-size-fits-all, is it?" the royal expert asked.

Keeping specifically George's abilities in mind, Nash believed William and Middleton made the decision.

"They know better than anyone else what their personalities are like, what their interests are like, and which sports are best provided for at which school. And we know they've done so much research on this."

Not to mention, Nash said the admission of George into Eton did not happen due to his status of being a royal.

Instead, she shared that the young prince is smart.

She continued, "It really does show that George is a smart kid because I don't think you get into Eton anymore just off the back of who your parents are."

"I genuinely don't think that in this day and age, they could put someone into Eton and get them through in the way that may have happened in previous generations," the HELLO! editor said.

"Catherine is on it in terms of his education. I don't think they would put him in a place where he would feel he wasn't able to keep up," Nash noted.

Meanwhile, George has recently begun his schooling at Eton College.
