Meghan Markle, Prince Harry want 'best of both worlds'

A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have returned to Britain after six years, want the "best of both worlds."

Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert Kinsey Schofield claimed Meghan and Harry’s UK move was forced by their dwindling income.

Schofield said that the couple's circumstances have changed considerably since they left Britain in 2020, particularly when it comes to the lucrative opportunities they initially secured after settling in California.

The royal expert went on to suspect Meghan and Harry want the "best of both worlds," maintaining their independence and commercial opportunities they've enjoyed outside the monarchy while regaining proximity to Britain and Harry's royal connections.

They reportedly plan to maintain their Montecito mansion while establishing a home in Britain, allowing the family to move between the two countries.

The royal expert’s remarks came days after the spokesperson for Meghan and Harry says the couple were surprised to see a letter sent on behalf of King Charles clarifying that they remained non-working royals.

The spokesperson said Meghan and Harry, who have recently moved back to the UK, "were a little surprised not to have been told about this in advance".

The letter, sent on behalf of the King, spelt out Meghan and Harry will still not be able to use titles of "His and Her Royal Highness", and remain "private citizens."
