Sarah Ferguson marks 9/11 anniversary

The former Duchess of York disappeared from public life after King Charles III stripped her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, of his royal titles over the former couple’s links to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The monarch not only stripped his royal titles but also expelled his younger brother from Royal Lodge in Windsor following the release of the latest batch of Epstein files by the US Department of Justice earlier this year.

Sarah Ferguson also had to leave the Royal Lodge, which she shared with Mountbatten-Windsor for years.

The King also stripped Andrew of the prince title before the former Duke of York was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office earlier r this year.

Sarah Ferguson, who kept the title of Duchess of York despite her divorce from Andrew years ago, lost the title after her former husband fell from grace.

When the former couple’s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, gave birth to her third child with husband Jack Brooksbank and announced the news on social media, royal fans were expecting her mother to at least react to the good news of her granddaughter’s birth.

However, the former Duchess of York has remained completely inactive on Instagram since marking the 9/11 anniversary on September 11, 2025.

Sarah Ferguson, who had thousands of followers on Instagram, did not react to Eugenie’s Instagram post, signaling that she is no longer active on the platform.

In her last Instagram post, Ferguson shared a picture of the 9/11 memorial, writing: "Today, we pause to remember the lives lost and forever changed on September 11th, 2001.

I was in New York at the time, and like so many, I will never forget the shock, the heartbreak, and the extraordinary courage I witnessed that day. Out of unimaginable tragedy came stories of kindness, unity, and resilience that continue to inspire us all.

My thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and the first responders whose bravery and selflessness remind us of the very best of humanity."
