Taylor Swift returns to CMAs after earning new nomination

Taylor Swift has confirmed she will attend the CMA Awards for the first time in a decade.

The 36-year-old singer, who recently married Travis Kelce, shared the news on her Instagram Stories after learning that her song I Knew It, I Knew You earned a Single of the Year nomination—her first CMA nod in four years.

Responding to the announcement, Swift wrote that she hadn't quite finished with country music yet, and confirmed she'll be attending the ceremony on November 18.

She faces stiff competition in her category. Ella Langley picked up two nominations for the same award, while Lainey Wilson and Cody Johnson round out the field. Langley leads the overall nominations this year with 10, followed by Miranda Lambert with seven, and Kacey Musgraves and Ben West with five each.

Swift previously appeared at the CMAs in 2016 to present the Entertainer of the Year award to Garth Brooks. She has a strong history with the ceremony, having previously won the same category she's now nominated in back in 2009 and 2011, with additional nominations in 2012 and 2013.

"I Knew It, I Knew You," featured on the soundtrack for "Toy Story 5," became a major hit for Swift and marked her 13th song to top the U.S. country radio charts as a solo artist. The track is also considered a strong contender for a Best Original Song Oscar nomination.
