Prince Harry's US Army appearance revealed after King Charles' latest move

The Maryland National Guard on Wednesday shared photographs of Prince Harry taking part in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

The X post came weeks after the Duke of Sussex returned to Britain with his family.

The August 19 visit to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was among his final engagements in America.

The Maryland National Guard’s X post read, “Chief Warrant Officer 3 Marko Choma joined U.S. Army Special Operations personnel in accompanying Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, during a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.”

The Duke ‌and Duchess of Sussex and their two children returned to live in Britain six years after stepping down from royal duties and moving to the US during a period of estrangement and awkward relations with the royal family.

Earlier this week, King Charles authorised a letter to senior British officials confirming that Harry and Meghan remain non-working ‌royals following their return to the UK.

The letter, which was shared with Harry's team and sent as guidance to senior officials in the government and military, said that after Harry and Meghan stepped down from official royal duties in 2020 they "are no ⁠longer working Members of The Royal Family".

The couple’s spokesperson said Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are surprised by the letter sent on behalf of King Charles.

The spokesperson for the couple said they had only been informed shortly before it was sent out and they were surprised by what had occurred.
