Jessie J drops surprise update: 'I'm not at my best'

Jessie J is taking a break from social media to focus on herself and her son.

The 38-year-old singer announced the shocking decision on Instagram while reflecting on her turbulent health and personal journey.

“I want to start this post off by saying I am ok. I am not at my best but very far from my worst. I know people can twist these kinds of posts,” Jessia penned alongside a clip from one of her shows.

“I love this video because you can see how much I love to sing, and also how my face is getting older. How lucky I am to be alive and to age naturally," she continued.

Jessie further penned, “It’s no secret that the last 2 years have been magical, successful, life changing and extremely busy. I have loved the last 2 years mostly, hated it in moments and learnt the most I have ever learnt about myself and what I want from my life and mostly what I want it to FEEL like.” 

For those unaware, Jessie was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2025. She underwent surgery and was declared cancer-free in May. 

A month later, the Price Tag singer announced her separation from partner Chanan Safir Colman. The exes share a 3-year-old son, Sky.

“The past 2 years has taken a toll on parts of me that I haven’t had time to give space and grace to. Now’s the time. Work has slowed down. So healing speeds up please," wrote Jessie.

The songstress added that she’s starting a “digital cleanse,” explaining, “I never feel I can really give that side the energy and time it deserves when it’s needed while staying on socials and my phone so much … I’m posting this for the people who would give af that I haven’t posted or been active for a while."

"The people who have followed, supported, loved and cared on me and for me during this journey. Thank you for holding me up," Jessie concluded.
