Inside King Charles, Queen Camilla’s fun-filled day in Scotland

King Charles and Queen Camilla made a royal appearance at Scotland’s Highland Games.

On September 7, the royal family’s Instagram handle shared a glimpse into King Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla’s latest visit to the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Aberdeenshire, where the Braemar Gathering, one of Scotland's notable games, was held.

The shared pictures showed the action-packed Highland Games, including tug-of-war and throwing events; moreover, in one of the pictures, His Majesty can be seen giving a trophy to a competitor.

As per the caption, “Over the weekend, The King and Queen attended the Braemar Gathering at the Princess Royal and Duke of Fife Memorial Park in Aberdeenshire.”

“Held on the first Saturday of September every year, the Gathering features events including tug-of-war, caber toss, hammer throw, Highland dancing and a parade of pipe bands.”

However, in the comment section, the royal fans showed support. One said, “The King and Queen love Scotland tradition and they are always happy together.”

While another wrote, “Happier occasion, their Majesties are delighted with great entertainment, long live their Majesties.”

It is worth noting here that the monarch serves as a patron of the Braemar Royal Highland Society, and since 1848, the annual event has been attended by the ruling monarch.
