Oprah Winfrey shows off GLP-1 medicines result for weight loss
Oprah Winfrey previously admitted she was taking GLP-1 medications to aid weight loss
Oprah Winfrey looked impeccable with her slim figure as she made an appearance at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado.
As per The Daily Mail, the 72-year-old TV personality, who previously admitted to using GLP-1 medications to aid in her weight loss journey, was seen making a grand arrival to the festivities before attending the premiere of Everest: The Other Side.
During the screening of the forthcoming documentary film, the billionaire businesswoman also took part in a discussion on stage in front of a live audience.
Winfrey wore a cream-colored jacket as well as matching trousers that contained feathery details, completing the look with a white tank top underneath and a pair of brown boots for the final touch.
She accessorized the ensemble with a pair of flashy earrings as well as stylish shades.
The media star paused for a brief photo session outside of the venue before crossing paths with close pal Gayle King.
She later interviewed ski mountaineer Jim Morrison on stage amid the screening of Everest: The Other Side, which is set to release in the U.S. on October 30.
Winfrey's appearance at the event over the weekend took place after she has recently got candid about her dramatic weight loss.
Earlier this year in January, the TV personality revealed that she had reached the weight of 155lbs, which is 82 pounds less than when she was at her heaviest.
While stopping by The View that same month, to promote her book Enough: Your Health, Your Weight, And What It's Like To Be Free, she opened up about her struggles with weight and claimed an “obesity gene” caused her to overeat.
“All these years... I was standing there with all the food noise, [thinking about] what I ate, what I should eat, how many calories was [in what I ate],” the veteran talk show host said at that time.
Then Oprah Winfrey further explained, “And how long it was going to take [to burn off]. And I thought that was because of me and that it was my fault.”
However, she said that now she “understands that if you carry the obesity gene, that is what makes you overeat. You don't overeat and become obese, obesity causes you to overeat. Obesity causes you to have all that food noise. What GLP-1s have done for me and a number of other people is quiet that noise.”
