Donald Trump makes his feelings clear on Harry and Meghan leaving US

Donald Trump generally has a warm relationship with the royal family, so, as reports described a similar incident taking place within the British monarchy, consider the president to weigh in.

Perched in his Oval Office and with reporters swarming him, Trump took a snipe at the Sussexes.

The reference in question was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving across the pond years ago and deciding to put down roots in California.

“I’m happy about it,” he said on the royal couple's departure before slamming them. “I was not a fan.”

Trump added, “I thought they treated the royal family with great disrespect. I didn’t like it. I didn’t like the way she acted."

"I thought she was terribly disrespectful to the Queen, to King Charles,” he said.

Not stopping there, Trump noted, “I wouldn’t have taken them back. If I were the royal family… I would not have taken them back.”

Last week, the wayward couple returned to England along with their children, Archie and Lilibet.

According to reports, the royal couple arrived on a private jet as their kids are set to begin their schooling in their father’s home country.

It is worth noting that the details about Harry and Meghan’s children's school and, overall, the residence they are set to live in are kept under wraps for security reasons.
