Robert Patrick reveals music he listened to while preparing for dark ‘Terminator 2’ role
Robert Patrick shares he had to avoid socializing on set to focus on his 'Terminator 2' role
When Robert Patrick agreed to play T-1000 on Terminator 2, he knew it would be a tall task.
So what did he do?
He isolated himself, according to his own words, and listened to a certain kind of music to stay in the character's dark mindset.
That genre was industrial music.
He told People, “I sort of isolated myself and listened to a lot of industrial music, you know, Ministry, Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, and sort of stayed focused on what I had to be."
“So I wasn’t very social," he shared.
But as Patrick was locked in his own focused world, what stunned him was the on-screen enemy he had to kill for his mission.
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
“Arnold is an amazingly charismatic individual,” he recalled.
“I was very impressed with him while we were working. He was a very warm, generous guy with compliments, the little bit of interaction I had with him," the actor concluded.
