Nicole Kidman gets honest about reuniting with Sandra Bullock for 'Practical Magic 2' after 28 years
'Practical Magic 2' is all set to release in the UK on September 11
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock have joined hands once again to portray their wicked character in the sequel to Practical Magic and the Babygirl star could not stop herself from praising her co-star.
The witchy duo walked down the red carpet on Wednesday for the European premiere of Practical Magic 2, as in the upcoming film the sisters Sally and Gillian Owen, will confront a multi-generational curse threatening their family after three decades.
At the screening, Kidman noted it was “gratifying” to return for the sequel after 30 years.
She told the Press Association, “It used to be that films came out and they died, then they would find a life of their own.
“So much of the time now that doesn’t happen – it comes out, it’s gone, it’s so quick.
"This is an example of a film that can find its way, and people eventually find it and then demand a sequel, which is great.”
Gushing over her co star, Kidman noted, "The bickering, the joking… We are the same people that we were back then, except now we have children.”
Sandra, who embraced Nicole at the red carpet, also praised the magic of returning to the Owens family home, "We don’t have the midnight margaritas without the house.
“The house is the heart of this film. It was the most iconic thing for us to rebuild that.”
Kidman further reflected on the making of the sequel, saying, “It is so hard to get a film made, particularly with a budget that is decent, and to be able to do it together as women is kind of fantastic."
She concluded, “That’s gratifying in itself, and hopefully it says something about the industry where you can do it.”
Practical Magic 2 is all set to hit theaters in the UK on September 11.
