'Avengers: Doomsday' footage in 'Avengers: Endgame Encore' varies depending on where you watch
Disney appears to float a clever incentive for fans to re-watch 'Avengers: Endgame Encore'
Avengers: Endgame Encore has already put fans on edge ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, but there is a catch.
Marvel, according to GamesRadar+, is releasing two versions.
In the regular screening, the cinemagoers will see a re-release of Avengers: Endgame and an exclusive look at upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
But audiences at IMAX or Infinity Vision — Disney-certified premium screens — will get a treat.
That is additional footage of Avengers: Doomsday.
But if any fan opts out for Avengers: Endgame Encore, directing duo Joe and Anthony Russo have a message: It is a must-see before watching Avengers: Endgame.
"It's gonna connect the story of the two movies," Joe told Fandango.
He continued, "There's a natural progression from Endgame into Doomsday, which is also inclusive of all the other stories that have been playing out."
"I think it's required viewing for following the story in Doomsday," he said.
Then Anthony chipped in, "If you saw Endgame when it was originally released, you couldn't see this coming."
Avengers: Endgame Encore hits cinemas on Sept. 25.
