Hollywood turns Americans into alien-believers?

A recent survey observed a change, particularly among younger Americans, regarding extraterrestrial life, and Hollywood may have a role in it.

Talker Research, a polling agency, in its latest findings found that 54% who say they believe in UFOs are thanks to alien films and series.

And these results may have a ring to it, at least according to space guru Neil deGrasse Tyson.

He believed Hollywood had been preparing the audience for aliens ever since War of the Worlds - a movie starring Tom Cruise - was released in 2005.

"Of course, we're ready, because movies have been prepping us ever since War of the Worlds," he told the Daily Mail.

Furthering his claim, Tyson also dropped a shocker that, according to him, humans are alone in the universe.

"Anyone who's studied the problem would answer without hesitation that we are not alone."

"We're made of the most common ingredients in the universe," he said.

"So life, if anything, was opportunistic, working with the materials that it was given in the early Earth," the expert noted.

"So, anyone who's studied the problem is ready for the universe to be teeming with life," Tyson concluded.
