In 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved across the pond and stepped back from royal duties after reports at the time described a rift within the royal family that forced the pair to make the dramatic decision.

Now they are coming back.

According to The Telegraph, the couple, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are expected to move into a non-royal home mainly outside London.

Meanwhile, the location has been kept under wraps over privacy and security concerns.

The move-in may come before September, as the royal couple's children have enrolled in a British school whose name has not been publicly revealed and whose classes will begin from the year’s ninth month.

However, the shock return does not mean, according to the report, that Harry and Meghan are returning to work as royals.

But the report did not fully rule out the possibility of them resuming official royal duties in the future.

King Charles, on the other hand, was informed of the move, and he was previously reported to have wanted to see his grandchildren more regularly, which has been an issue because they live in California.

But as the King made clear, he will respect the Sussexes' wish to remain as private individuals.

Still, it raises the question of whether Harry will get the security he previously strenuously demanded for his family.

The father-of-two has been open about feeling unsafe to bring his family to his home country sans protection from police.

However, the British government has refused to provide him with one, funded by taxpayers.

This vexing question aside, reports say Markle will continue running her lifestyle brand As Ever from his new home now, and the family's properties in Montecito, California, and Portugal will remain untouched.
