Queen Camilla is the result of one of the most successful royal PR campaigns, says an expert.

The Queen Consort, who married King Charles back in 2005, struggled to become one of the most respected members in Britain.

In the latest episode of ITV’s “Talking Royals” podcast, royal editor Chris Ship tells host Charlene White: “The Queen has gone from being the most hated woman in Britain.”

Ship recalled Queen Camilla was regularly “driven out of her home in the back of a car hiding under a blanket” to escape the paparazzi,

Ship then adds that Camilla has become “the linchpin holding the entire institution together.”

White then adds: “I would say that it’s one of the greatest PR campaigns we’ve seen in recent history, because that turnaround in terms of how the public feel about her has been remarkable.”
