Kate Middleton, Prince William heading back to India together?
Kate Middleton may be preparing for major royal return in India
Kate Middleton is said to be preparing for another major step in her return to royal duties.
Recent reports suggest that the Princess of Wales could join Prince William on trip to India later this year.
In November for the 2026 Earthshot Prize, Kate is expected to accompany her husband to Mumbai, according to Mirror report.
While there has been no confirmation from the Kensington Palace, if the plans go ahead, the appearance would mark Kate’s first Earthshot Prize event since 2022, when she joined William at the inaugural U.S. ceremony in Boston.
The Princess of Wales did not attend the following ceremonies as she stepped back from public duties after announcing her cancer diagnosis in 2024.
In 2025, Kate revealed that she was in remission and has since gradually resumed her royal schedule. Her recent overseas visit to Italy in May was viewed as another important milestone in her return to international engagements.
It is pertinent to mention that India would be a meaningful destination for Prince William and Kate Middleton as they previously visited the country together in 2016.
Earlier this year, the Prince of Wales also announced that Mumbai would host the sixth Earthshot Prize ceremony in November.
