Martha Stewart claims Meghan Markle discussed royal reunion at dinner
Martha Stewart makes surprising claim about Meghan Markle after her return from royal trip
Martha Stewart is sharing details about a recent dinner where she saw Meghan Markle.
Stewart, 85, shared in a recent interview that she had dinner with Markle at a party in California after the Duchess of Sussex had come back from visiting the royal family.
Stewart said she spoke to Markle only briefly, saying just a few words. But she claimed Markle was gossiping about the visit with others at the dinner.
“I didn’t talk to her really more than to say a couple words, but I know she was talking about it,” Stewart told People of Markle.
However, the person who hosted the dinner party has told Page Six that this story isn't true. The host said they sat next to Markle during the dinner and that Markle only said her family had a great time on their trip.
“I sat next to Meghan at the dinner party and this account of what happened is simply untrue. Meghan didn’t talk about her European vacation other than to say the family had a great time.”
The host didn't share other details.
Prince Harry, Markle, and their two children met with King Charles and Queen Camilla on July 10 at Highgrove House in the UK. This was their first reunion in four years.
The king, who is currently being treated for cancer, had last seen his grandchildren, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, back in 2022 during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebration.
