Meghan Markle caught self-soothing in video: Watch
Meghan Markle has been ousted for desperately trying to self soothe herself while the cameras are on her
Meghan Markle just got ousted for her very nervous energy and desperate bid for self-soothing that’s been caught on camera.
Body language expert Judi James broke all these instances down and explained them in detail while talking to Daily Express.
According to a video shared in split screen view, Meghan stands, waiting outside the MasterChef Australia set before getting the go-ahead to walk in—and while the host Po builds up the suspense, outside Duchess does a few choice movements that expose just how nervous she is.
Ms Bond started by saying, “waiting for her cue to make her big entrance, Meghan displays mixed emotions, although the overriding one signalled by her body language is a very deep desire to get in there and in front of the studio cameras again.”
According to her, “we can see this from her prepping rituals and the way she is so hot out of the traps once she gets her cue, shooting forward like an Olympic sprinter.”
Another thing Ms Bond pointed out about Meghan’s stride is, “also, like a sprinter, she performs some body rocking rituals prior to her walk starting. This rocking allows the body to retain momentum rather than standing still and taking time to warm up once the cue is given.”
It was after this that she got to the self-soothing moments and said, “we can also see some self-soothing rituals here, plus a gesture that suggests a desire to keep control and retain a calm exterior. The thumb-rubbing is the self-soothing, but the way she smooths her skirt with her hands is the one that signals calm control here.”
With the walk ending with her entrance into the MasterChef stage the expert added, “her walk is very much an 'I'm back!' stride of determination, suggesting she was pretty keen to get back under the studio lights again as a performer as well as a duchess.”
