Prince William takes ‘painful’ step away from King Charles
Prince William’s life has just turned to taking on a path never before seen
Prince William has mulled over a painful path, one that takes him far far away from King Charles, especially in lieu of how he’s decided to run the monarchy during his reign.
British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard is the one who brought this painful divide to light during her chat with Fox News Digital.
In her eyes what Prince William is doing is his own path, and she explained that much of it has got to do with the realistic lifepath he went down when Megxit came knocking on their door.
She even went as far as to say, “Megxit forced William to grow up fast as the future king” because it was at that moment the heir to the throne of England realizes he truly “had to protect” the institution “while his brother walked away.”
She also described the heir’s point of view in her own words and said, “William believes the monarchy must be seen to do the right thing, even when it's painful.”
Moreover, “from what I understand, he felt his father didn't handle that firmly enough,” he explained too. “He also believes in protecting it by drawing hard lines. But he's not the king yet.”
This is where the diverging of their paths is said to have taken place, because where Charles “may want to smooth things over,” and “to play peacemaker with Harry,” his heir and Catherine “are determined to set boundaries.”
Another way she put it near the end is that, “Charles is reigning, but William and Catherine are planning. And that planning is starting to look a lot like leading.”
Before concluding actually she said, “Charles wants healing. William and Catherine want survival and stability. William is not doing this to be difficult. He’s doing it because he believes it’s right.”
