Meghan Markle friend makes emotional plea
Meghan Markle friend says, "I want it to be a day that sends love outward"
Meghan Markle’s close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen has shared an emotional post for her son Georgie, who died four years ago after he contracted a viral illness.
Taking to Instagram, Kelly shared a sweet photo of the son saying, “Four years. I don’t believe grief keeps time.”
She continued, “It’s been four years today since Georgie died, but that number doesn’t make sense to me. Time continues to move forward, but the loss doesn’t. Grief doesn’t follow a calendar. It simply becomes part of who you are.”
Kelly McKee further said, “as painful as this day is, I never want it to be remembered only for heartbreak. I want it to be a day that sends love outward. A day that reminds us that even the shortest lives can leave the longest ripple.”
“Today, I’d love to honor Georgie in a way that continues to bring love into the world.”
She also urged her fans and friends to donate for children’s hospital, saying “Like last year…I’m asking anyone who feels moved to donate $9 in honor of his nine beautiful years to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.”
Kelly further revealed CHLA has cared for his twin sister Lily for most of her life, continues to care for her today, and will continue to care for children and families long after ours.
“I miss you every day, Georgie.”
