Yaxel Lendeborg outshines Cameron Boozer in Summer League final

Yaxel Lendeborg produced a standout performance as the Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 94-90 to win the NBA Summer League championship in Las Vegas.

The Warriors rookie finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals, including seven consecutive points late in the fourth quarter to help seal the victory.

His decisive three-pointer gave Golden State an 89-87 lead. The game was level at 47-47 at half-time before Cameron Boozer inspired Memphis with 10 third-quarter points, helping the Grizzlies build a 76-66 advantage.

Boozer ended the game with 19 points, eight rebounds and four assists, but missed two late opportunities to put Memphis back in front, including an open three-point attempt in the closing seconds.

Lendeborg, the 11th overall pick in this year's NBA Draft, continued his impressive Summer League campaign after averaging 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists over his previous five appearances.

For Memphis, Cedric Coward contributed 19 points, six rebounds and four assists, making all five of his three-point attempts.

The victory gives the Warriors the NBA Summer League title and offers further encouragement ahead of Lendeborg's rookie season.
