Meghan Markle is set to appear on MasterChef Australia but it has sparked strong reaction from viewers.

As Network 10 confirmed that the Duchess of Sussex will appear as a guest judge on the popular cooking competition when the episode premieres on July 26, some viewers are threatening to boycott the episode before it even airs.

In the comments section of the Instagram post, a user wrote, "I love watching Master Chef, but won’t be watching it with her."

Another added, "First time since the beginning of this show, that I WON’T be watching, first time!!"

However, a user also noted that the former Suits alum is "not a chef" to be on the show.

This comes as Meghan Markle will ask contestants to create dishes celebrating seasonal ingredients while sharing the personal stories behind their recipes.

In a statement shared, the Duchess of Sussex said, "What attracted me to the MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love of food and my love of Australia. It was an easy yes."

"I’m just really honoured that I was asked to be able to be here with you and to be able to judge some of these meals," Meghan added.
