Selena Gomez's mom breaks silence after cryptic post sparked family rift rumors

Selena Gomez's mom, Mandy Teefay's recent remark about being a mother has sparked a reaction from netzins an the popstar's mother is trying to cover up.

On Sunday, Mandy posted an Instagram post in which she wrote, "My greatest accomplishments, love me or not. They are the coolest.

"I one day they will see what a bad ass I am and love me back as much as I love them. I’m just mom. Who never gives up when they throw me in the trash. I tell ya mom you’re doing it wrong, maybe so, we will see. But no matter what I got your back."

Along with the caption, she also posted a picture of Selena and her half-sister Gracie's snaps.

However, it seemed like the post did not land the way Mandy wanted and she clarified in the comment section to a fan, speculating the caption as a dig on Selena and Gracie.

Mandy replied, “Girl. It’s typically moms not cool joke."

“Calm down. lol," she added.

The fan comment read, "W**, Mandy. If you’re having issues with them, you shouldn’t post this on social media. People will take it out of context and keep hating on Selena.

“I don’t know what’s going on, but go talk to your daughter instead of creating drama.
