Jelly Roll confesses old habits that resurfaced after Bunnie XO divorce

Country rapper Jelly Roll has opened up about a recent setback in his weight-loss journey, revealing that stress related to his divorce has led to several days of emotional eating.

The 41-year-old singer, who lost around 300 pounds over the past three years through diet and exercise, shared the candid update in a YouTube vlog, explaining that he has recently been struggling to control his cravings.

"I've been overeating the last three or four days," the musician, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, said. "I was feeling myself stress eat."

Jelly Roll admitted he indulged in several desserts before later visiting a taco truck, saying the experience reminded him how quickly old habits can return.

"I don't eat nothing like that. I'm like a drug addict," he explained. "If I ate one, I'll eat two. I ate four."

He estimated the binge added roughly 2,000 extra calories to his daily intake and said it would take days to get back on track.

The singer, who also has had a history with addiction, said he approaches food with the same caution he once applied to substance abuse.

"People are like, 'You can have one cheat meal.' I can't," he said. "It might be a five-day food bender for me."

Jelly Roll added that while he allows himself grace after setbacks, he makes sure he doesn't let one bad day turn into two.

The candid update comes weeks after he and estranged wife Alyssa "Bunnie XO" DeFord announced the end of their nearly decade-long marriage. Despite the separation, both have said they remain on good terms and intend to continue their plans to welcome a child through surrogacy.

Earlier this year, the couple revealed they had experienced multiple unsuccessful IVF attempts before matching with a surrogate.

On the work front, Jelly Roll is currently on the road as part of Post Malone's Big A** Stadium Tour, where he serves as the opening act across the North American leg of the tour.
