Sharon Osbourne explains reason behind missing Ozzy statue unveil
Sharon Osbourne shares update in apology for missing Ozzy tribute
Sharon Osbourne has said an unexpected hospital visit prevented her from attending a special tribute to her late husband, Ozzy Osbourne, at France's Hellfest festival.
The television personality and music manager, 73, was expected to attend the unveiling of a statue honouring the legendary rocker on June 18.
However, she was unable to make an appearance and later explained on social media that a health issue earlier in the week had stopped her from making the trip.
Sharon wrote that she was sorry she could not be present for the event and thanked the festival organisers and artist Philippe Pasqua for creating what she described as a beautiful statue of Ozzy.
She did not share details about why she was hospitalised or provide any further update on her condition.
Despite missing the ceremony, Sharon expressed her appreciation to everyone involved in the tribute and thanked those who helped honour Ozzy's legacy at the festival.
This is not the first time Sharon has experienced health problems. In 2022, she was taken to hospital after a sudden medical emergency. She later explained that she had fainted while filming and was unconscious for around 20 minutes.
Speaking about the incident in 2023, Sharon said doctors carried out extensive tests over two days but were unable to determine exactly what caused her to pass out.
She was also briefly hospitalised in 2020 after testing positive for COVID-19.
Over the years, Sharon has been open about her health struggles, including her battle with colon cancer. She was diagnosed with the disease years ago and later entered remission.
