Jeremy Clarkson's girlfriend breaks silence on his cancer diagnosis
Jeremy Clarkson previously revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer
Jeremy Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan has issued a statement after her broadcaster partner went public with his prostate cancer diagnosis.
She confirmed that Jeremy was in good spirits and shared a snap of the former Top Gear host.
The broadcaster was seen breaking the news to his close co-workers during the most recent instalment of his programme, Clarkson's Farm.
He later confirmed that he had undergone surgery to remove 10% of his prostate last summer.
Now, Lisa, who has been romantically linked with Jeremy since 2017, has thanked supporters following the heartbreaking revelation.
She took to her social media to give fans an idea on how the couple were doing now the news was public, posting an Instagram story with the caption, "Back at the farm,"
It was accompanied by a photograph of Jeremy basking in the sunlight, according to the Mirror. She reposted content from Prostate Cancer UK regarding Jezza's condition, adding her own message, "Thank you for all the support today."
In the most recent episode of Jeremy's Amazon series, he was speaking about the harvest with farm manager Charlie Ireland and agricultural worker Kaleb Cooper when he unexpectedly revealed his health issues. He informed the duo, "I've got cancer. I've known since May.”
"I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it's aggressive, but it's really early so the treatment will be, you know,” he further revealed.
Speaking from a hospital bed during the season finale, Jeremy Clarkson admitted there were problems during his treatment.
"We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed," he stated. "What I wanted to say was if this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't. Take care, everyone," he concluded as he signed off.
