Nancy Guthrie case update: Sheriff gives update after tip sparks Mexico search

The sheriff from Pima County, Chris Nanos has finally updated the public with a current update about the ongoing search that began as a result of an anonymous tip that was tracked to Mexico.

For those unversed, the original news came just hours after the tip led detectives south of the border towards Mexico.

The head of Buscando Corazones Nogales in Sonora, Mexico Ramona Guadalupe Ayala Ortiz, also urged fans that a grave belonging to Guthrie, 84, may actually have been found, given that the tip claimed a ‘body matching Guthrie’s description in the Mariposa area near Nogales, Sonora, Mexico’ would be found.

But now, the Pima County Sherriff’s department has taken to social media and wrote, “at this time, we have not been contacted by Mexican authorities.”

“This investigation remains active and ongoing, and we will continue to follow up on any credible information.”

For those unversed, Savannah Guthrie's mom has been missing since February 1 after authorities say she was taken from her Arizona home during the early hours of the morning.

Her case has also sparked a surprising amount of interest within the YouTuber community. In recent weeks many individuals will go from having citations issued against them to arrests and jail time if particular alleged behavior continues.

The YouTubers who have since been arrested for disruptive behavior include; Alexander Zabel from the ‘Criminal Network’ channel. He faces two counts of obstruction of a highway or public thoroughfare and one count of public nuisance. Second is Troy Bradshaw from the ‘DAA JUICE’ for one count of public nuisance. Third is Damian Todd Enderle and he’s facing one count of public nuisance, according to KVOA News 4 Tucson.
