Cardi B erupts over Karmelo Anthony's 35-year sentence

Karmelo Anthony, a teen convicted of killing fellow student Austin Metcalf, is 35 years behind bars.

But Cardi B seemingly has a strong opinion about the Texas jury's decision, who delivered the verdict.

Though the rap icon did not name Karmelo, her tweet suggested she had been targeting the courtroom's outcome.

"Wow! Just freakin wow! This is not justice; this is trying to make an example!!!"

Cardi B's tweet comes just hours after the jury's verdict was delivered.

The rap star's fans mull over whether the tweet was about Karmelo.

Soon, Cardi B ended their confusion by reposting the posts, appearing to back the teen after the trial.

Karmelo has been sentenced to over three decades in jail after what he claimed was a self-defense killing of Austin at a high school track meet last year.

However, the teen's claim of acting in self-defense has been rejected by the jurors.

Following the verdict, Karmelo was taken away in handcuffs.

At the moment, he had reportedly been in tears while mouthing, "I am sorry," to his parents, who were devastated, at court.

Karmelo has been taken to Collin County jail.
