Shaboozey unveils Beyoncé's influence on his life
Shaboozey collaborated with Beyoncé for her 2024 album, Cowboy Carter
Shaboozey recently got candid and shared his disbelief about working with Beyoncé for her Cowboy Carter until she made one move.
On Monday, June 8, Rolling Stone published his digital cover story interview, in which the 31-year-old American singer admitted that despite recording vocals for Beyoncé’s 2024 album Cowboy Carter, his doubts were clear when he made the final cut and the song list was posted online.
He told the outlet, "I recorded two of those verses, and when it came out, she didn't change a single thing, not an ad lib, nothing.”
"She allowed me to just be me on that project. It really was motivating: 'Yo, Beyoncé cosigned me!' She gave me this push and was like, ‘Run!' And I was running as fast as I could,” the Last of My Kind hitmaker stated.
For those unaware, Shaboozey contributed to songs Sweet Honey Buckin’ and Spaghettii in Beyoncé’s first-ever country album in 2024, which won the Best Album of the Year award at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
It is pertinent to mention that he considered it a pinch-me moment with the Lemonade songstress, as he told PEOPLE magazine at that time, "I don't think you can beat that in life. At all.”
“She's such a huge part of culture, and big in my life and my family's life, and just everybody's life,” Shaboozey stated, singing praises of Beyoncé.
