Horror Pit bulls attack kills Florida woman just weeks after relocating
The victim died in just hours after the savage attack by the dogs
A pit bull is a fierce breed, a strictly loyal dog who can sometimes turn dangerously violent.
A woman from Florida learned this lesson in a hard way.
Her name was Jodi Cowan. She had just arrived to live on Blue Bonnet Drive.
According to Fox News, the 50-year-old took her small dog for a walk at midnight.
Two pit bulls, Max and Mako, in her neighborhood, who had been harassing the residents for weeks, escaped yet again.
Then the tragedy struck.
The pit bull pair launched a savage attack on Cowan on May 19.
In the CCTV footage, the lady attempted to run; however, the canines put her down and shockingly mauled her.
She screamed madly while clutching her dog to her chest.
As the pit bulls dragged her across the street, Cowan, who had been with her partner, Donnell Smith, rushed to aid her.
He put the knife into the dogs while calling 911.
Cowan had been rushed to a hospital, but she unfortunately did not survive and succumbed to her injuries within hours.
Following the incident, which shocked the investigators, the pit bulls were put on a collar and are set to be euthanized.
Linda Cutler, who was the owner of the dogs, has been arrested.
