Eric Dane's widow Rebecca Gayheart shares bittersweet family update months after actor's death

Rebecca Gayheart is trying her best to ensure that her daughter Georgia does not feel the absence of her father as she graduates middle school just three months after Eric Dane's death.

​The Dawson's Creek actor's widow took to her Instagram account to share some glimpses of her and Eric's 14-year-old daughter's milestone.

​In the celebratory post, Rebecca posted a picture from her middle school graduation ceremony in which Georgia can be seen walking onto the stage and receiving a sunflower in a pink mini dress paired with a black cropped sweater.

​The proud mom wrote, “Congratulations Georgia!"

​"I am so beyond proud of you — your tenacity, grit and grace has been on full display. Welcome to high school — I have no doubt you’re ready."

​The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum also praised her daughter for winning an MVP trophy for beach volleyball. She wrote, "I am so excited for you ! Not pictured is your MVP trophy for beach volleyball. Bravo."

​Rebecca concluded the post by writing, "Bravo, congratulations and I love you so much."

​Along with Georgia, Rebecca also welcomed elder daughter Billie, 16, with late husband Eric.

​For those unversed, Eric passed away on February 19 following an intense battle with ALS. He was 53.

​The Grey's Anatomy actor announced his ALS diagnosis back in April 2025 and told People at the time, “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter."
