Perrie Edwards’ Little Mix bandmates once tried to set her up with Prince Harry.

The 32-year-old singer admitted she was left embarrassed after her bandmates, Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, thought it would be a good idea to set her up with the Duke of Sussex after they met him at a royal event.

Speaking on the Capital Evening Show with Jimmy Hill to promote her new single Passenger Princess, Perrie said, “Yes, I’ve met Prince Harry.”

Jimmy asked, “Have you what was he like?”

Perrie replied, “Really nice. We performed at the Royal Variety, is that what it’s called? And we met Prince Harry then.”

“And I was single at the time and the girls were like ‘oh, you and Prince Harry,’ and I was like ‘give it a rest!’” she lightheartedly stated.

“Yeah, if any of us were single we’d just pie them off to anyone really,” Perrie said, adding, “Not saying that Prince Harry is anyone, we love Prince Harry! But you know what I mean, at the time it was like ‘oh, you’re single and he’s single!”

Jimmy said, “I mean, he’s still a very good looking man now but he was real hot when he was younger.”

Perrie replied: “Yeah, it’s because he was a bit of a bad boy, wasn’t it?” and Jimmy said, “Yeah, he was the bad boy! But looking back I don’t think he was that much of a bad boy really.”

Perrie went on, “Well he was for a royal! Like drinking and partying and having a good old time that was a bit frowned upon.”

The Sweet Melody singer’s comments came after bandmate Jade Thirlwall previously revealed she "tried to catch a vibe" from Prince Harry but was left flustered when the rest of the group suggested they could find love together as they were both single at the time.

Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Sounds podcast Sidetracked, Jade said, “I was single at the time and all the girls were like, ‘Oh, Harry. You could be in with a chance!’. I was like, ‘Oh, God, here we go.’”

"They were being those sort of friends. And then, he is going down the line and I started getting nervous. I wasn’t even a**** but suddenly it was like 'Princess Diaries' in my brain,” she concluded.
