Mel B casts doubt over Spice Girls documentary plans

Mel B has hinted that a planned Netflix documentary about the Spice Girls may no longer be moving forward.

The 51-year-old singer made the revelation on Good Morning Britain when asked whether reports of a streaming series about the former '90s band were still accurate.

"Well, I don't think anything's happening, I think something was, but I don't think it's actually going to be happening now after all, which is a shame,” she said in a recent episode.

When pressed for more details about why the project had stalled, she declined to explain further and joked that she would share more information “in the dressing room.”

Her comments come after growing uncertainty around several Spice Girls-related plans, including speculation about a possible 30th anniversary reunion tour. The group previously ruled out a full tour.

Despite the setbacks, Mel B made it clear that she is still open to reuniting with her former bandmates if the opportunity arises. She stressed that she remains supportive of the idea, but that any reunion would depend on all members being on board.

“I think you know if it’s going to happen, it will happen,” she said. “And I’m always for a Spice Girls reunion, don’t get me wrong.”

Over the years, the group has reunited for tours and performances, but a full long-term comeback has never materialised.
