Prince Harry, Meghan Markle are reminded of ‘commercial motives’ of The Crown
Prince and Meghan Markle are told there is no ulterior motive as they face reversal of renovations at Frogmore cottage
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not being avenged over latest Frogmore cottage roll.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who received the property as their wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth II and made renovations to their liking, are facing a reversal of their hard work for commercial purposes.
Speaking about the newfound update, Royal expert Jennie Bond tells Mirror: “If these reports are true, I don’t think it should be taken as some sort of vindictive move against Harry and Meghan. The Crown Estate is run as a commercial enterprise with the profits going to the Treasury.”
“Harry and Meghan have made their life in California. I can’t imagine that Frogmore Cottage holds many good memories for them — particularly after they were pressured into paying back the £2.4 million spent on the renovations they wanted,” she added.
Prince Harry left the Royal Family back in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle and son, Prince Archie. The couple later accused the Royal Family of showcasing racism towards their son and publicly shared their grievances on television. Harry and Meghan now live in California, where they also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
